South Indian Granite in Veraval

South Indian granite is known for its depth of colour and hard, dense surface. At Somnath Marble on the Somnath–Veraval Bypass Road you can see slabs in person and choose the one that suits your kitchen, floor or staircase.

About South Indian Granite

Granite is an igneous stone made mostly of quartz and feldspar, which is why it is hard to scratch and copes well with daily use. Much of India's well-known granite is quarried in the southern states, and it is popular in Gujarat for kitchen platforms, staircases and flooring.

Because granite is a natural material, no two slabs are identical. The colour, grain and pattern can change from one block to the next, so we recommend seeing the actual slabs at our Veraval showroom before you decide, especially for a large floor or a long kitchen counter.

Tell us where the stone will be used and the approximate area. We will show you the South granite designs currently available and help you compare them.

Before you buy South Indian Granite

  • See the full slab, not just a sample piece: natural stone varies across a slab.
  • For large areas, choose slabs from the same lot so the colour stays consistent.
  • Ask about the finish (for example polished or textured) that suits each area: shiny surfaces can be slippery when wet.
  • Plan the sink and hob cut-outs and the edge profile before the slab is cut.
  • Measure the area carefully and allow extra for cutting and matching the pattern.
